Can men and women be friends? Is it more difficult to be friends after being romantically involved, or not? These are a couple of the questions that were prompted by the article The Inside & Outside of Male-Female Friendships .

Be sure to check out the comment thread already there -- "L" and "EditorEsther" had differing opinions about men and what their ideas are about friendships in relation to sex. Be sure to read their comments, then come on back to this message board and post your thoughts. Oh, and for "reference," you can read the original dialogue from the movie "When Harry Met Sally . . ." too, by clicking here.

For me personally it depends on the feelings I had for him. Most of my best guy friends I've onced dated. Though there wasn't much of an emotional attachment (i.e. love) Though there are a few where I had very strong feelings for them and being around them made it very difficult to try and find someone else. For I was consdently remind of those feelings. And once I was really away from them did it become easier to get over them and possibly find someone new. It's just the whole thing of everyone's different.
