I have to confess that I kinda got into trouble when I originally wrote this review for ?Why Aren?t U Married? The Inconclusive, but Thought Provoking, Answers of a Suspected 'Confirmed Bachelor'.? The book was sent to me by a business associate of the author, with the request that I send them my review for use in their advertising campaigns. Well, what I said (as you will read for yourself) was not what they were looking for. I was told: "It [the review] is boring. I . . . [will] not print this review and furthermore janice should not reference this on her website." Since I'm not the type of woman who takes criticism like "boring" lightly, I decided to post the review so you, my dear readers, can decide for yourselves. I believe that if someone publishes a book, then it is part of the public domain and fair game for analysis and criticism. This is clearly different than slander, which I didn't do. (Those of you who are lawyers should know what I'm talking about.) I know that my readers expect me to be honest about what I recommend, so I didn't think I should behave differently in order to help someone sell books. Let me know in the comments section of the review if you agree with me, or not. Click here to read the review now.

What do relationship-oriented singles think about using a matchmaker to help them meet other singles to date? This was the question posted on the home page of FocusedCoachingServices.com for visitors and members to answer. And the results are in! You gave your feedback about using a matchmaker and here's how you voted: 55.56% of voters said "Yes, I like to use every avenue to meet people." 33.33% of voters said "Maybe -- if I can trust the person to choose well." 11.11% of voters said "Maybe -- if it's a good friend who really knows me." These results demonstrate that singles are willing to utilize the services of a matchmaker, but trust is obviously a key component. Be sure to vote in the new poll, posted on the home page on the right.

It's on newstands now -- the October issue of Cosmopolitan magazine. And you can read what I have to say on page 133 about how to destress at the end of the day with your partner.
It's the issue with cute Katie Holmes on the cover, and my words of wisdom are in the "couples" column. Or you can read it here . . .

The results are in! Singles visiting Focused Coaching Services expressed their opinions about online dating, and here's how they voted:
20% agreed: "It's a great way to meet people to date."
45% agreed: "It's ok, as long as you're smart about it."
10% agreed: "It's okay, but you have to beware of those who lie."
25% agreed: "I'd rather meet in person, like at a bar of gym."
The results show that most singles are willing to pursue online dating, but with some caution. Thanks for expressing your opinions and helping shed light on what singles out there are thinking!
If you didn't vote in this poll, you have another chance to vote in the new one which is located at the right of the home page. It asks for you to vote on using a matchmaker to meet other singles to date. So cast your ballot today!
I'll post the results soon so you can see how your vote compares to those of other singles who visit!
